Steve and Niki would like to welcome you to The Star. A traditional family run Inn, dating back over 300 years. The Star is a beautiful country Pub/Restaurant/B&B, with open fires, and boasts a wonderfully large beer garden.
The Star has its own Aunt Sally Team. A traditional game played in pubs, by throwing timber batons at a wooden skittle (known as a doll or dolly).

The Star is located only 7 miles from Silverstone. The home of British Motor Racing. Silverstone holds the British Grand Prix in July, as well as many other motoring events. We are ideally situated for B&B accommodation for these events.

Woodland Walks with an abundance of wildlife
Farthing Wood – The Wood White Butterfly recovery project, is encouraging this endangered butterfly
Bucknell Wood – Large mammals include Red & Roe Deer, Muntjacs. Along with foxes and Badgers. Birds include Buzzards, Red Kite and Blue Tits
Whistley Wood – Fallow and Roe Deer, Muntjacs, along with Foxes, Badgers and Rabbits. Birds include Buzzards, Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers and Blue Tits. Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Nightingale, have also been spotted.
Plumpton Wood – Hosting a lovely variety of wild flowers, supporting populations of butterflies and invertebrates.
Salcey Forest – Ancient woodland. Start at the Forest Café where there is also a natural wood play area. Tree Top Walk with an 18 meter viewing platform.

Canals
Around 17 miles of the London to Birmingham Grand Union Canal flows through the district.
